Bookswim: Netflix for books →
Maybe it’s just me, but COME ON! Ever heard of a library, AKA- a FREE place to rent books?!? Also see: used book store. I know blockbuster exists, but I used Netflix because I could organize my queue, and I didn’t have a car for a while, so it was easier to have movies delivered to my house. This idea just seems like crap.

green juice taste test results
Sooo, after trying 3 different brands of green juice (juice based on vegetables and chock full of vitamins), Here are the results (on a five star system):
Arden’s Garden Multi-Green (*) I couldn’t even get halfway through this juice, each sip felt like death. It left me burping up weird tastes for the rest of the day. This one is probably the healthiest of the bunch, though,...

Wednesday Night

If Dorota is Gossip Girl.
If that was true my brain would explode and cover the WHOLE planet

halloween inspiration
I just watched Alice in Wonderland online for a little Halloween costume inspiration. My friends and I have decided to do an Alice in Wonderland theme and I’m the Cheshire Cat. Fitting, no?

do you have an internet addiction →
I decided it was time to test myself for an internet addiction. According to this incredibly scientific internet quiz (irony?) I’m clear. Judging by the questions they ask, I think it can get pretty scary. I’m thinking they mean people who play World of Warcraft constantly…

currently reading
Right now I’m 2/3 of the way done with Eat, Pray, Love. The book had been recommended to me a few times, and I put it on hold at the library. So far, it’s been a good read. The concept is, the writer has just gone through a horrible divorce, so she decides to spend a year pursuing pleasure in Italy (eat), searching for God in India (pray) and finding balance in her life in Indonesia...

Your Lunchtime LOL: 30 Rock, Season 3, Episode 1 - “Do-Over”
The 30 Rock season premiere is ONLINE NOW. You can also watch it over here through NBC.com.
Now, to watch early by myself in my freezing apartment when I get back from class, or to wait a week and watch with the guys? Sitcom Sophie’s Choice, indeed.

Ew
I was just trying to go to sleep, and I couldn’t figure out what this oddly rhythmic bumping noise was. I opened the window to make sure it wasn’t a broken air conditioner, or someone beating something in the parking lot. Then I heard the moaning… Ugh. I just witnessed my neighbors having sex. Apparently the headboard is against my bedroom wall. This is even better because I just...

mint.com
I’ve heard a few different people talk about mint.com recently, so I finally decided to give it a look. It’s amazing. You can add all of your bank accounts, credit cards, investments, student loans, etc. and manage your money on one convenient, safe site. It shows shopping trends, lets you create a budget, and has so much more data on how you spend your money. I highly recommend...

chops
If you look up “Boys’s Club” in the dictionary, you might just find a picture of Chops.
Chops has secured its place as an old school Atlanta steakhouse, and a Buckhead mainstay. When I heard they were offering a special $29 three course menu, I was tempted to try the place. The food was good, and the steak was amazing. While the fare didn’t disappoint, it didn’t...

GO U NORTHWESTERN
Hopefully Northwestern will get back on track this week with a win against Purdue. Purdue’s 4-2, so it shouldn’t be too bad today. I’m gonna miss part of the game because I’m going to Ikea with my mom. Maybe I can convince her to go somewhere for lunch where they’ll have the game on?

more law freebies
“A longstanding rule of defamation law holds that the dead have no legally protected interest in their reputations.”
Another gem from my torts text. This basically means that once you’re dead, people can say whatever they want about you without legally defaming you. Lesson here: Outlive your enemies and slander the bejesus out of them.

music/movie/music
I just downloaded the Talking Heads live CD Stop Making Sense.
I’ve had “Once in a Lifetime” stuck in my head all day after watching the W preview this morning. W comes out this weekend and I’m definitely going to go see it.
Also, the new T.I. song featuring Rihanna “Live your Life” COMPLETELY ripped off that weird Russian track (dragostea din tei?) from the...
New Apple Notebooks TOMORROW →
Wired’s set of predictions for the new line of Apple laptops. Can’t wait to see what Apple pulls out. Rumors of the $800 laptop, that the whole fleet is going aluminum, of a netbook, and possibly an Apple Brick? I’m such a fangirl/nerd.
On a roll so far today, let's keep it up →

disappointment
So, Northwestern lost the game today. Thus ending our undefeated record. MSU didn’t win, we lost it. If we hadn’t had a ton of turnovers and done such a horrible job returning our kicks, it could have been ours. Northwestern played a jekyll and hyde game today, alternately raising my hopes and crashing them back down. NU also lost their chance for a bowl game today. Oh well, back to...
Northwestern PSA
AHAHAHA! Ava Greenwell, my old Broadcast Journalism prof, was in the Northwestern PSA that just ran. :) Too bad we’re losing currently, 24-7. It’s comeback time!
STATS →
The Northwestern Alumni Club of Atlanta is having a party at sports bar downtown tomorrow to watch the game. Stats is the newest and trendiest sports bar in Atlanta. I think I’m going to go.
hot chip
Going to a Hot Chip concert tonight with some law kids.
disco nap
I’m going home after class to take the world’s best disco nap, then going to Mellow Mushroom for trivia tonight. After staying up super late last night to finish an assignment, I was beat today. I don’t have class tomorrow due to Yom Kippur, so tonight’s a freebie. Tomorrow’s a to-do list bonanza.

seriously?
I was “selected” to take one of those random health surveys for Emory. I usually do them out of some perverted sense of being a good person, or whatever. I may not feed the homeless, but I’ll complete any 30-minute survey you email me.
Anyway, the point is, it was asking a ton of questions, and in the section about “energy products” it asked me if I use “Energy...
la tavola
Justin wanted to get Italian for dinner last night, and I had heard good things about La Tavola in Virginia Highlands. It’s a restaurant from the Fifth Group (owners of Ecco and South City Kitchen). You’ve probably heard my theory on Italian food before: it’s really hard to find bad or good Italian, most of it’s mediocre. This was surprisingly good Italian.
The menu was...
