glitter pumpkins
This weekend when I was visiting Emmy, she mentioned that this year instead of carving pumpkins, she would be glittering them. Apparently the idea came from Martha Stewart. (see pic) I’m trying to decide if I want to carve one, or glitter one. Either way, pumpkin carving (or glittering) party tomorrow!

Internet Court?
Adam: is there some reason why we can't just make a district court for the district of the internet?
me: hm
where
Adam: um
on the internet
lawyers could sign in
me: because then you have to force all litigants to travel there
ahhhhhh
Adam: have a little chat room
maybe video chat
me: doesn't that violate some basic principles of the judicial system
Adam: some judges already videoconference in to some proceedings
me: /impose technological requirements
everyone involved, even the jury, has to have videochat
witnesses
how do you introduce evidence?
Adam: everything you're saying just makes this idea seem more awesome
me: make sure it isn't doctored
/photoshopped
Adam: okay so maybe there are some details that would need to be worked out
me: i mean, i guess it would mean internet lawyers wouldn't need pants
which would be nice
i could just buy a bunch of blazers
and wear gym shorts on the bottom
Adam: no one would know!
me: ahahaha
there are some serious kinks to work out there
Adam: but think about the upsides
you could put INTERNET ATTORNEY on your business card
member of the internet bar
me: ballin
Adam: the internet bar exam available in english, spanish, and 1337
me: The WWW Circuit Court of Appeals
yesssss
also in c++ or binary
Adam: you could do your cross exam entirely through pictures of animals with questions written on them
me: wow
oh just wow
only lolcats
you can haz murder weapon?
OBJECTIONZ!
Adam: lol j/k
me: instead of innocent/guilty you get a verdict of :) or :(
ok, this is getting blogged
Adam: the court reporter would of course be tweeting the record
me: yesssss
Adam: @judge objection h34rs4y
@counselor lmao overruled
me: YES

2 things
1. I found out which Moot Court team I’m on today, and I was happy to discover that I got my first choice. I will be competing next spring in the Kaufman Securities Competition. The best thing I found out today is that the judges for the final round include Judge Boyce F. Martin, Jr. of the Sixth Circuit, Judge Paul J. Kelly, Jr. of the Tenth Circuit, and Judge Richard A. Posner of the...

homecoming (not mine).
My mom was out of town this weekend, so I got to play the substitute. Part of my duties included going to my brother’s homecoming dance picture party. My brother George and his girlfriend, Anna. One of George’s best friends, Peter. Adorable pic of me and George, my current desktop background.
