varasano's
I finally tried Varasano’s a few weeks ago. It was probably the most buzzed about restaurant opening of the summer in Atlanta. Jeff Varasano’s pizza recipe had been written about in the NYT and he was famous for throwing awesome pizza parties in his house.
Unfortunately, I think it got overhyped for me. I went on a Sunday night, and the restaurant was still jumping. I had a very...
first day back
So I had my first day of my 2L year at Emory Law today. It was great getting back in the swing of things, and seeing school friends again. Not so great: 9am class. This fall I’m taking Business Associations, Copyright, Intellectual Property and then either Federal Courts or Computer Law. I’d prefer to take Computer Law, but I’m not sure if I meet the prerequisites. I’m...

happy birthday mom
I’m babysitting in East Cobb tonight, and as a birthday favor to my mom, staying the night at her house. Tomorrow, we’re celebrating her birthday, since George starts school on Monday, her actual birthday. I think we might go see a play or a movie, then for dinner, we’re trying JCT Kitchen’s Sunday Supper.

A series of tubes? No, literally. ...

light on updates
I haven’t posted recently because I’ve been interviewing with law firms, hoping to find a job for next summer. Obviously, I don’t want to say anything about that process that might jeapordize my chances. Other than that, I’ve just been hanging around Atlanta. Christine and Maggie get back this weekend, and I’m looking forward to all of my other law school friends...

kate spade site redesign →
kate spade just redesigned its website, and she’s using my favorite color scheme: orange, turquoise and white (just like my blog).
random tidbits
method, my favorite coffee bar in the emory area, has closed. this is unfortunate as it was the only place i know of that served intelligentsia coffee. the sign outside says it is being turned into an octane coffee shop. i will check it out once they open, but i’m sad that such a great place didn’t make it. i wonder what happened.
apparently a church near me (Emory Presbyterian)...

Home
Back from California. Still unpacking/organizing my life. Lots of chores/errands after a trip. Getting my car its annual checkup, doctor visit, family photo, paying bills, harassing my landlord, target and grocery store runs, prepping for job interviews (tips?)…
Excited for people to start returning to Atlanta.
