Cliche Pun on Book Title

eat. drink. be merry.

So I had my first day of my 2L year at Emory Law today.  It was great getting back in the swing of things, and seeing school friends again.  Not so great: 9am class.  This fall I’m taking Business Associations, Copyright, Intellectual Property and then either Federal Courts or Computer Law.  I’d prefer to take Computer Law, but I’m not sure if I meet the prerequisites.  I’m sure I’ll find out at the first class meeting tomorrow night.

Other than purely academic matters, the Moot Court and Mock Trial teams are getting started up.  I have a brief due in about a week for Moot Court, and I already know what weekend my Mock Trial tournament is.

I’m still working on my job hunt for next summer.  More on that when something develops.

One of the most fun parts of the new school year is seeing all of the new 1Ls. I helped out with orientation, so I met a few of them then.  It’s just funny because law school is the first time in my life where the students in the “grade” below me are likely to be older than I am.  It takes some mental flexibility not to assume that all 1Ls are younger than all 2Ls.
