I went with my family for JCT’s Sunday Supper about a month ago. It was a sumptuous feast of southern favorites. We had waaaay too much food, but it provided me with about three days worth of leftovers.

The Sunday Supper menu is $24/person and includes biscuits, deviled eggs, salad, your choice of “meat and three” (you pick your own entree, and three family-style sides for the table). I, obviously, had fried chicken.

It was perfection. The honey drizzled on top gave it a nice sweetness that you don’t normally get with fried chicken. It reminded me of Chick-fil-a’s slightly sweet batter (a compliment, to be sure). All of the sides were honest re-creations of southern favorites. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal, but felt as if I were at a family dinner, not dining out at a restaurant. It’s not the best place to go if you’re looking for something fancy or for a special occasion. I would definitely recommend stopping in if you’re looking for a hugh home-style meal. Dessert (coconut cake) was also included.
Our server was very accommodating and was happy to box things up separately for me and the rest of my family. She even made a special birthday cake plate for my mom.
All in all, a good meal, but more casual than I was looking for. I’d like to go to JCT on an average night and see what the food is like.
Also- JCT Bar has a special on Thursday nights. $5 special martinis, margaritas and sangria from 5-9pm with live music from 6-9pm. I’d like to check this out one Thursday. They have a great outdoor patio space.
