Cliche Pun on Book Title

eat. drink. be merry.

My family went to ONE.Midtown Kitchen last Sunday to cap off Midtown Restaurant week. Earlier in the week I went to 4th&Swift, and the meal there was not quite as good as when I ate there earlier in the summer. Our meal at ONE was wonderful. I’ve always said that it is the best of the Concentrics restaurant chain, and after Sunday night, I completely stand behind that. (Interesting sidenote- Trois has been dropped off of their website).

The downside: the service wasn’t stellar- kind of bland, and the host was just odd- he told us all about his acting career and how he’s going to be on “Drop Dead Diva” next week(?). A little too friendly.

My favorite dishes were the apps. I usually find them more inventive and fun than the entrees. And the kit-kat bar is one of my favorite desserts in the world. I had it the last time I was here (probably in ‘05 or ‘06) and loved it then. Still good.

The outside of the restaurant makes it look like a weird nightclub (neon purple lighting), but the interior decor is nice, with soft lighting and those old-school light bulbs that I’m obsessed with.

I would absolutely still recommend this place for a fun dinner out with friends, a nice date, or a good place to take visiting family members.
