1. I found out which Moot Court team I’m on today, and I was happy to discover that I got my first choice. I will be competing next spring in the Kaufman Securities Competition. The best thing I found out today is that the judges for the final round include Judge Boyce F. Martin, Jr. of the Sixth Circuit, Judge Paul J. Kelly, Jr. of the Tenth Circuit, and Judge Richard A. Posner of the Seventh Circuit. (for non-law school nerds, this is a huge deal- Posner is a judicial rockstar/legend) So, now I have to start working really really hard to attempt to advance to Finals so I can argue in front of these guys.
2. I figured out what I’m going to be for Halloween. It is kind of a mashup between Lara Croft (Tomb Raider)/Terminator/Zombieland. Essentially I am going for Post-Apocalyptic zombie-fighting badass. I’m going to have two fake pistols in thigh holsters and probably a lot of dirt/fake blood spattered on me. Very excited. The law school has a big party every year in downtown Atlanta at the Westin. I’ll be sure to post pictures.
