I called George Washington today to get a status update on my application. I wasn’t accepted early decision. No free law school. I’ve been shuttled into the pool of regular applicants.
I’m way more disappointed than I thought I would be. I really expected to get in. Then I would have free law school, a free place to live, and be set for next year. I could have started making plans. And I would have been effectively able to support myself.
I keep wishing it were a bad dream and I’d wake up and check the mail and a letter would be there telling me I got in. It’s like I’m willing it not to have happened.
This means I have to use this weekend to finish applying to five other law schools. And I have an interview with Northwestern’s law school tomorrow morning.
