I just called to order my subscription to Knife & Fork, the Atlanta dining newsletter penned by Christiane Lauterbach. Lauterbach is the dining critic for Atlanta magazine, and probably one of the most respected food writers in the southeast.
The surreal part- to order a subscription, you have to call a phone number (404-378-2775 - it’s old school). Who picks up? Christiane herself. I had trouble keeping calm while she asked me questions in her exceedingly French accent.
