Cliche Pun on Book Title

eat. drink. be merry.

I have an ongoing tea versus coffee debate. Tea was my first preference, and I know infinitely more about tea and am a tea snob. I have recently gotten into coffee (bought a French press, etc), but I know relatively little about coffee.

I enjoy both, but while I can drink my tea black, I need cream and sugar/splenda to enjoy my coffee. So, in healthy terms, I think tea is better for me. For now, I’m switching back to tea.

In light of this decision, I’m considering upgrading my tea making system. For the past three years, I’ve had the Sunbeam Tea Drop. It’s an adequate little tea maker, but mine’s getting kind of old and it’s not the best way to make tea. It’s kind of a sad imitation of a coffee maker, percolating instead of steeping the tea. So, upgrade?

The top of the line tea machine appears to be the Zarafina Tea Maker Suite. I have a $50 gift certificate to Amazon from graduation, and I’m definitely considering using it on this little baby. It has different settings for each tea varietal, it steeps the tea and it even pours it into a teapot for you. One downside, it doesn’t keep the tea warm. My Tea Drop has a warming plate, so it’s always hot tea, even if I don’t drink it immediately.

The other tea maker on offer from Amazon is the Adagio Teas TriniTea. Only problem here is the reviews say it’s impossible to pour a cup without spilling tea everywhere.  That sounds like disaster.
