Cliche Pun on Book Title

eat. drink. be merry.

I went to the Atlanta Symphony Orchestra tonight with my mom, and our friends FB and Carrie. The program included a piece by Gershwin, a piece by Dvorak, and a percussion-focused piece composed by John Corigliano. I don’t know that much about classical music, but I always enjoy an opportunity to learn. The Dvorak piece was my favorite. It was the symphony “From a New World” that Dvorak wrote around the turn of the century when he was living in America. A lot of the inspiration comes from African-American folk melodies of the era.

Before the symphony we had dinner at one of my favorite Atlanta restaurants: Trois. I have some pictures that I’ll post this weekend. All in all, a very well-spent evening.
