(this is backlogged, but bear with me)

Trois is a restaurant I’d recommend, but not necessarily a personal favorite. My mom adores the place, and while I admire the view and the decor, the food has never wowed me.

I love oysters, and while these were good, they were nothing special. I guess that’s my main problem with Trois. There’s not really any personality to the place. It’s incredibly bland.

The bland continued with the gnocchi. How do you mess up gnocchi?
It didn’t help that my mom and her friend got in an argument with our waiter, and then proceeded to discuss politics (they’re republicans) in the middle of gay midtown. I was slightly embarrassed (and I’m pretty over being embarrassed by my mom). Overall, it was an unpleasant dinner (even with the two glasses of Frei Bros. chard)…
