The only reason anyone my age gets a landline phone is to operate the gate to their apartment complex. I have no interest in a landline. EXCEPT- I think there is still a market for a device like this one, from Verizon. The hub would have a touchscreen, and you could still use your mobile phone for a handset. If they make the hub capeable of charging the phone, I think that would be an added bonus. Supposedly the touchscreen will display calendars, weather, etc.
