I was reading my Property Law homework, and one of the cases mentions a “spite fence.” Click the link for the full Wikipedia definition. Basically, if you build a giant fence that blocks your neighbor’s view or sunlight, it can be designated a “spite fence,” especially if it serves no discernible purpose.
Long story short, this video was on a VHS my mom taped off of TV for me when I was a kid. I watched the tape over and over again, and I have this latent memory of the phrase “spite fence” but I never consciously thought about what it meant. That tape had some classic Winnie the Pooh on it (Blustery Day, one about a flood, and Heffalumps & Woozles). I need to track down all of my old VHS tapes this summer and see about finding them on DVD.
Anyway, enjoy Donald Duck in “The New Neighbor.”
