This shop in the Highlands is the perfect place to stop for a quick snack while window shopping. Belly General Store features candy, cupcakes and old-timey soda in glass bottles. The store also sells a number of gourmet goods like fancy butter and finishing salt for your culinary creations.
They also sell bagels and sandwiches, but I haven’t tried any of the food. When Emmy and I stopped in, I had a cream soda and a homemade caramel. The caramel came wrapped in a piece of wax paper and it was soft, chewy perfection.
Belly is on N. Highland Ave one block north of Ponce (Across from Neighbor’s and Hand in Hand).
