I don’t often do this, but I have a plea for some minor help here. So, I have katherinemerriam.com (duh, you are here). I would like to build out the site to include my resume, contact info, etc in a more elegant way if possible. Two questions.
1. Do I need some special software to do so? (I just got iLife 09’, which I’m loving, but iWeb seems a little elementary. Can I start there?)
2. Do I need to buy space on a server somewhere to host my website? Currently, I bought my domain from GoDaddy.com and I point it to tumblr. I feel like I’m missing something here.
Also, feel free to link me to helpful articles, sites, etc or point out any books/software I should get. I’m not looking to get super-fancy here, maybe just take this to step two.
I’m looking to make something along the lines of: nickd, lifedigital, tinatrenkner but I realize you have spent countless hours on web design. Basically, where do I start?
